Christmas Thank You Notes

Image
I know that Christmas is over and you are likely moving on to winter and Valentine cards.  I'm running a bit behind and needed to make some thank you notes to send for Christmas Gifts.  One of the Christmas cards I made this year was from the Teresa Collins Christmas Silhouette images that were free in the Cricut Craft Room during the holidays. You can see those cards by clicking here .  At that time, I saved the negative space and planned to make more Christmas cards with them.  I never could quite come up with a design for them though.  One day as I was thinking about all those negative spaces on my desk, I came up with the idea for these thank you notes. I used the following materials: Negative space left over from the Teresa Collins cuts from various solid papers Recollections "Shades of Red" cardstock Core'dinations "Krafty" cardstock The Paper Studio "Holiday" cardstock Versamark ink and white embossing powder Martha Stewart bakers

New Crafty Fun

Image
Hello.  I trust that your new year is off to a great start.  My husband and I spent New Year's Day celebrating our 23rd anniversary.  It was so nice to just spend some time together.  We are now getting back into our routine.  The Christmas boxes are packed away and order is coming to our home. I love being in my craft room and creating special treats for others (and a few for myself).  As much as I enjoy it however, I don't like spending my evening separated from my husband who is generally in another part of the house.  With that in mind, I decided to try crocheting again.  Now this is not a new craft for me.  When I was a youngster in 4H, I had a wonderful crochet teacher.  She was so fun to be with and she was excellent at crocheting.  Unfortunately, it is one of the many things that has been pushed aside in the last few years.  Now is the time to pick it back up.  I can be creative and be with my husband at the same time. Red Heart Sashay yarn is so pretty and makes

You and Me Anniversary Card

Image
Good morning everyone.  I would like to welcome you to a new year on DJ's Sundries.  I am so happy that you chose to stop by today. Have you ever had one of those projects that changed completely after you got started?  That kind of happened to me with this card.  I had planned to use some 3 Girl JAM Merlot ribbon on the front of the card, but when I went to grab it, I had used all of mine.  No worries, I already let Julie know that I need more.  Instead, I used some of the new Jute ribbon in the same color.  I think I like the finished project even better.  It definitely looks more masculine than a soft ribbon bow would have looked. Supplies: 3 Girl JAM Jute ribbon (get yours here and be sure to use the code CP10 to let Julie know that I sent you over) Fancy Pants "Love Note" 6X6 paper pad Core'dinations "Juneberry"smooth card stock Echo Park "Your's Truly" sticker set Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge Crystal Stickles Foam tape
